Classes

Our volunteer and guest training programs are based on skill development with classes that are useful for on air broadcasting, pod casting or oral history projects.
Currently we are offering two free classes that are aimed at an introductory level student which might be exploring either of the three categories mentioned in the preceding paragraph.
Introduction to Radio Broadcasting
Description
​
Introduction to radio broadcasting gives the student an understanding of the broadcasting in general but specifically aimed at radio broadcasting.
Introduction to Audio Mixing and Mixing Board Operation
Description
​
The companion class is the Introduction to mixing audio and mixer board operation. This class is mostly focused on getting the student familiar with the technical aspects of mixing and recording audio using the various devices found in most recording studios. In today’s world those devices would be computer, hand held recorders, smart phones, microphones and of course the mixer board.
